Burgess Jenkins 41st Annual Daytime Emmy

 

 

With a career spanning over 200 films and television episodes including Smash Hits like "Remember The Titans", "Noelle", "Nashville" & "One Tree Hill" as well as directing & producing numerous feature films Mr. Jenkins brings a comprehensive perspective as an instructor that incorporates expertise from both sides of the camera. 

His training comes from the top schools in the country including 4 years at the famed Playhouse West in Los Angeles under the instruction of Robert Carnegie and Oscar nominated actor Jeff Goldblum.

 

Known for a wide range of memorable characters, Burgess has starred alongside 5 Academy Award winners as well as numerous Golden Globe and Emmy winners.

 

Some of his credits include: the lead antagonist Ray Budds in the blockbuster film “Remember the Titans” opposite Oscar winner Denzel Washington; His tenure as a series regular on two dramas, "Army Wives" and "The Young and the Restless". In "The Reaping" Burgess stars as David Winter, the husband of Katherine played by Oscar winner Hilary Swank.

Additionally Burgess recurred on the prime time hits “Nashville” (ABC), “One Tree Hill” (CW) & the comedy series “Marry Me” with Lucy Liu. Notably, he was nominated for Best Actor at the Boston Film Festival for his turn as Bruce Snow in the award winning thriller “Insignificant Others”.

 

Recently, Burgess appeared alongside Anna Kendrick, Bill Hader and film icon Shirley MacLane in the Christmas comedy "Noelle".
